Security Officer / Night Watch

 Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Bulwark Protection Services is currently hiring a Night Watchman to help safeguard our clients’ properties during evening and overnight hours. This position focuses on maintaining a secure environment by monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular building patrols. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and able to remain alert and focused throughout the shift.

This role is perfect for retirees looking for steady, low-stress evening and overnight work with minimal physical demands beyond light walking and observation duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security camera feeds (CCTV) to detect and report unusual or suspicious activity.
• Perform routine patrols of buildings and surrounding areas, both interior and exterior.
• Ensure doors, windows, gates, and other access points are properly secured.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or unusual activity and report findings.
• Complete scheduled patrols every 2 hours, within a 30-minute grace period.
• Document nightly activity, incidents, and observations in a clear and detailed log.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security breaches to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist emergency responders if an incident occurs during shift.

Qualifications

• Previous security, night watch, or related experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with surveillance camera systems is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work alone and remain alert during overnight hours.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory.
